» CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character NAME: Sheena Fujibayashi. Her real name is unknown to those outside of her family.
Canon & MEDIUM: Tales of Symphonia; video game, though I'll be relying on the manga, audios, and Tales of Fandom vol 2. for background and supplementary info.
Canon PULL-POINT: A month or two after the end of Tales of Symphonia.
Character AGE: 19
Character ABILITIES: Sheena is an agile fighter, a ninja by profession, who uses cards to attack and imbue her allies' attacks with elements. She has some ninja tricks up her sleeve, too, like replacing a target with an illusionary one. Her main contribution to the team, however, is her summoning ability. This is so rare that the last person to make pacts with the great Summon Spirits was Mithos Yggdrasill over 4000 years ago. At this point, she can summon all of them except Corrine, the man-made Summon Spirit who sacrificed himself and later became Verius, the Summon Spirit of Heart.

For an idea of what kind of artes she can use, there is a link here. Whether she's Strike or Technical doesn't matter too much here, as her artes in the second game are basically the same thing but with shorter titles (i.e. Power Seal, instead of Power Seal Pinion/Absolute).
Character HISTORY:
I'm not summarizing a two disc Gamecube game.

There are a few key points that change depending on the player's choices in the game, the most famous of which being the 'Character Affection' system. Like Dragon Age but cuter and with slightly less dying. Here's a quick rundown of the choices that canon usually defaults to and also how they affected Sheena.

- Lloyd chose the Colette path. Though he spoke to Kratos in Flanoir, Zelos' life was spared. Thank you, manga canon. Either way, Sheena's crush on Lloyd remained unrequited, and they all went their separate ways.
- Sheena fought Kuchinawa, who wanted her dead, and won.
- Igaguri, her adopted grandfather, woke up and declared Sheena his successor.
- Sheena has not became chief yet, but will assume her grandfather's position shortly before the events of Dawn of the New World.

Character PERSONALITY: On the outside, Sheena appears to be a sort of yamato nadeshiko, a beautiful Japanese woman without makeup and other adornments, quiet and strong. But ten seconds in her company will shatter that entirely. She has strong convictions and opinions, and isn't afraid to speak her mind or put her life on the line for what she believes in.

There isn't anything inherently wrong with her personality, except that it clashes violently with her ninja occupation. She was reluctant to assassinate someone, for example, because he saw that the target was innocent. While this marked her as a traitor, she had good intentions and believed in them more strongly than the job she was assigned. She almost got herself killed by trying to defend a town from Desians-- a situation she barely understood, and could easily have avoided, but she wanted to save the children she'd played with before.

She's quite idealistic, meshing well with Lloyd's personality and his beliefs; he saw the good in her, and she tries to see the good in others. For example, she gets mad at Zelos, but she admits she never thought he was a bad person (in the bad ending, where he croaks). It's possible that Corrine, her summon spirit, helped her keep faith despite how Sheena was treated for her failures.

She has a good heart, and acknowledges when she makes mistakes. Unfortunately, she sometimes clings to them too much. Her self-esteem isn't that great in the first place, having been adopted, but she was treated like an outcast when she screwed up her first summoning pact with Volt. The deaths of several people and her grandfather's coma weigh on her heavily, causing her to take things by herself to try to prove something, and to hide her shame. Ironically, she is most afraid being left alone.

Despite her fiery temper and violent banshee tendencies, Sheena is well-meaning, generous and earnest. She'll apologize when she messes up, and do her best to make up for it. A tad sentimental, perhaps, but she honestly believes in making the two worlds a better place-- so that no one else has to suffer like her friends. Like Sheena herself.

» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Chosen WEAPON: Her cards! This is her most comfortable weapon in canon, and she can do a lot with them. As she grows stronger on missions, Sheena's attacks and enchantments with them will become more potent. They'll probably even look different.
Character INVENTORY: Cards, sacred paper, a calligraphy set, supplies for curry and sandwiches, a small set for cooking and eating, Corrine's bell, a spare change of clothes, about 600 gald, and a handful of kunai.

[The tablet is definitely not her preferred way of communication. Staring hard down at the thing, it's a wonder she figures out how to turn it on. But Tethe'alla is full of technology, and she's smart enough to figure out that it's touch-based.

The camera function takes her by surprise, and the angle at first is quite awkward, showcasing more of her bosom than her face. She fixes it after a minute and addresses the network.]

Can anyone hear me? This thing's working, right?

[She narrows her eyes. Good enough.]

I'm Sheena. First things first, I'm looking for a couple people from home. Has anyone seen a guy with brown hair who wears lots of red? He's pretty hard to miss. He might be accompanied by a girl with blonde hair. [A pause. Gotta check on all her boys, right?] Let me know if you've met a guy with long red hair, too. [Depending on his behavior, she might have to apologize for him.]

Secondly... Is there anything I should know that this Initiative isn't telling me? It'd be great if someone could fill me in.

» ADDITIONAL NOTES
Would Sheena be able to use her Summon Spirits here? Since they're tied to Aselia I'd say likely not, but it'd be great if she could get a replacement. Unless she can like, make a summoning pact with the residents. That would be hilarious. Or just have the SS's disappear after summoning... :|a I'm open to ideas. I mean, it could also be similar to a shaman summoning an earth elemental. They just ~MAGICALLY EXIST~ for a while.
