[It's been a bit since he's seen Sheena. That wasn't really something unusual, honestly back home it was pretty regular that he'd go months without seeing her since she was at Mizuho or doing missions outside of Meltokio. He'd never forget the time they were apart for a few months and when they met up again she had gotten a chest, no siree-]
[Ahem, right. Maybe the brackets isn't the place for that]
[Still. Maybe it was the fact that she had been a regular presence in his life, he noticed the absence more than usual. At first maybe he rationalized it was for the best. If what he had read was correct, she probably was better off away from him. But then he found himself feeling off. Like he wanted to see her. Normally when he called her up it was because there was a problem in his life, but- that wasn't really the case. Seles and him were working things out on their own, and Allen's whole problem was too vague to decipher if there WAS a problem for him. ]
[He thought about just calling her up and seeing how she was, but he dismissed it. It seemed pretty uncool and it'd make her think something was really wrong. That or just get annoyed and hang up]
[So finally in the end, he decides to go with that one notion they had discussed the last time they were in the same area- cooking for her. He could play it off as only fair, since she brought him something once. Just drop it off and go]
[And so there he is after an embarrassing number of days deliberating. He's got a small container in hand of rice balls with him, with the intent of dropping them off. It takes a couple moments of hesitation, but he'll finally knock on the door.]
[....]
[Ugh. This is stupid. He starts thinking if there's still time to just put them on the ground and make a dash for his place before her or her roommates get here.]
[Sheena opens the door a little too quickly for him to run off. She looks surprised to see him, and even gives Zelos a once-over to make sure all of his limbs are intact. Wait-- how long has it been? The days have flown by since they spoke, because there's two additional people living in the apartment, and a couple of Riku's friends too. Or were they Axel's? She's not sure, but it's kept her busy between cleaning and cooking, a happy sort of domestic buzz. She's almost forgotten.
She hasn't forgotten all the way, though, if the tiny blush on her cheeks is any indicator. She slams down on her memories of their conversation and her more private heart-to-heart with Axel.]
[Oh damn, so much for the running off plan. He notices the blush but tries to ignore it! Maybe she was just hot from being in the kitchen or something...yeah.]
[Anyway, play it cool]
Hahaha Oh, uh, yeah- just thought I'd stop by since-
[he shrugs. He's done a lot of stupid things, bur right now this one feels like it ranks pretty high]
[Yeah, you're definitely a moron, Zelos. Sheena's so fucking confused right now. Still, she's... strangely happy to see him, or maybe not so strangely, and she smiles a bit.]
It's fine. The apartment's empty at the moment.
[She moves aside so he can come in.]
You're lucky I already finished the chores. You can actually sit in here now.
Things got really busy with all the new people coming in this month. [She wanders toward the kitchen to put on tea, a sort of reflex he's accustomed to by now.] Riku has a couple friends who come over sometimes, and Axel's got a couple kids from his world who keep following him around.
[Oh, he knows that look. Better get talking. He shrugs like it's a casual thing]
Aha, well actually they're for you...or your roommates, whatever. But you know, I do remembering offering to make you something sometime, and you never took me up on it! And soooo, I figured I might as well just take the initiative and make something before I grew old waiting to pay you back!
[She's not sure whether to be flattered or annoyed. It's a pretty common feeling around Zelos. Still, she can't get her conversation with Axel out of her head.
She settles on the peaceful option of being grateful, and gives Zelos a smile in return.]
Well... thanks.
[... She feels so weird all of a sudden. Almost like she's sick to her stomach. She turns back to the kettle, which is now properly boiling, and moves to steep the tea.]
I was about to fix something, but that works too. We can make a meal out of it.
I hope you're at least able to make rice balls by now. [Snark snark. It's easier than dealing with the herd of elephants in the room.] Especially since Cheria said you help with the cooking.
[Rude don't be so mean about someone trying to help! But he'll reach into the cabinet to grab a couple plates, bringing them with the rice balls over to the table. ]
[Except okay, can't help but be sliiightly annoying]
[He'll be lifting his own cup of tea] No, I never said it was my biggest complaint.
But come on- you gotta admit it, the clothes here suck. They're all itchy and bland looking- I swear I got skin rashes my first couple months from wearing them.
[Oh the woes of a rich spoiled kid having to dress poorly]

It's not a bad time, is it?

[I don't know, he read it somewhere once]
Yeah?
[He isn't sure what to feel about an empty apartment, but he'll come in, going along with the conversation]
Heh heh, seriously? It wasn't that bad before- did they get messier?

Whoa wait- Axel's got kids?!
How- he can't be that much older than me!
no subject
Not like that! Jeez, they're fifteen, not five. They're friends from his world, I think.
[She waits for the kettle to heat up. My god, Zelos, you're dumb.]
What's that you're carrying?
no subject
[So okay Axel probably isn't reproducing that's fine--]
[-- And oh. She noticed the container. Uh.]
Oh you know, just some rice balls.
[WHO DOESN"T CARRY RICE BALLS AROUND??]
no subject
... Were you going to offer them for lunch or what?
[Seriously, dude.]

[He meanwhile feels his own stomach relax a little. Okay, awkwardness aside that wasn't so bad. It's just food right? No big deal.]
Sounds good. And haha, don't worry- I'm pretty sure they're edible.

[She's pouring the tea currently, loading it up on a tray-- and she has both arms this time so don't you dare try to take it B|]

Sure you don't need any help with the tray?
no subject
I can handle a tea tray. It's not like I'm Colette or something.
[In fact, she has no trouble setting the tea tray down. Careful, Zelos-- the tea's hot and she could easily throw it at your face.]

Iiii don't know, you do have your own clumsy streak.
